Valerian I. Tatarskii, Ph.D. Named Professional of the Year in Scientific Research

Dr. Valerian Tatarskii has published three books on the effects of the turbulent atmosphere on wave propagation

    BOULDER, CO, August 18, 2011 /Science and Research PR News/ -- Dr. Valerian I. Tatarskii, Senior Scientific Researcher for Radio-Hydro-Physics, LLC, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in scientific research.

Dr. Tatarskii is a senior scientific researcher with 57 years of experience in his profession. To date, he has published three books on the effects of atmospheric turbulence on wave propagation. This field of study has served as a basis for engineering projects in atmospheric optics, radar, laser communication and astronomy. For the past five years, he has lent his efforts to Radio-Hydro-Physics, LLC, a company that researches the theory of wave propagation in random media. Dr. Tatarksii primarily conducts research in wave scattering from the ocean surface.

In recognition of his success, Dr. Tatarskii was recently named a Professional of the Year in Scientific Research by Cambridge Who's Who. This distinction is reserved for exemplary individuals based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service and credentials. Dr. Tatarskii was also selected for inclusion in the inaugural edition of Cambridge Publishing's Pro-Files Magazine.

Dr. Tatarskii obtained a Ph.D. from the University of Russia in 1957. His professional affiliations include the Electromagnetic Academy of MIT, USA National Academy of Engineering, and the Russian Academy of Science. He is also a fellow of the Optical Society of America, which honored him with its 1994 Max Born Award.
