Public Policy Professional Joins The Ranks Of Stanford Who's Who

Carole E. Nap has been accepted among the prestigious ranks of Stanford Who's Who as a result of her outstanding professional career.

    OTTAWA, ON, CANADA, February 2, 2011 /Stanford Who's Who/ -- Carole E. Nap has been accepted among the prestigious ranks of Stanford Who's Who as a result of her outstanding professional career. As Director of Science and Technology Policy with Public Safety Canada, as well as throughout her incredible 35 year career, Carole has consistently demonstrated the vision, dedication and diligence necessary to be considered among the best.

Established in 2003, Public Safety Canada was created to ensure coordination across all federal departments and agencies responsible for national security and the safety of Canadians. They are involved in coordination government response to natural and man-made disasters; anti-terrorism strategy; protection strategy; cyber strategy; and communication strategy.

Carole is responsible for overseeing several million dollars in coordinating private sector academic and government recruitment in projects. She is an expert in the research of chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and explosive warfare. Carole is also well versed in cyber/internet security, interoperability for first responders, and international coordination in emergency management and terrorism. She is interested in working in sustainable business development in emerging markets. One of her proudest moments was seeing years of hard work paying off when group homes legislation passed that permitted young mentally challenged or physically handicapped young adults to move out of institutions and into community settings.

During her educational career, Carole earned a Master of Arts degree in International Diplomacy from Norwich University, a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition, Psychology and Sociology from the University of Guelph, a Certificate in Alternate Dispute Resolution from Harvard Law School, and a Certificate in Arbitration and Mediation from the University of Toronto. She is VP of Canadian Women and Security and serves on the Board of Canadian International. In addition, Carole is a Barrie Board Member of Red Cross and a member of Hospice Ontario. On a personal note, she is embarking on a new career as a travel writer and photographer.
