Jonalee Meyer-Watkins Recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for Excellence in Veterinary Services
Ms. Meyer-Watkins utilizes her background working with animals to help develop veterinary drugs for livestock
RANCHESTER, WY, December 14, 2011 /Science and Research PR News/ -- Jonalee Meyer-Watkins, Senior Research Coordinator of Midwest Veterinary Services, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in veterinary services.
With four years of experience as a senior research coordinator of Midwest Veterinary Services, Ms. Meyer-Watkins consults on breeding management programs for beef cattle. She is also responsible for managing and running clinical studies before drugs are marketed to veterinarians in accordance with Food and Drug Administration regulations. She attributes her success to her high level of integrity and her strong background in horse and cattle ranching. She became involved in her profession because she wanted to be involved in animal agriculture on multiple levels. Her current position allows her to influence the most recent medications and treatments that are available for use in food and companion animals, while still maintaining her routes in beef cattle and equine production. The most gratifying aspect of Ms. Meyer-Watkins' career is answering questions about products. She considers it an honor to do her job.
Ms. Meyer-Watkins received a master's degree in reproductive physiology from Texas A&M University in 2000, having received a Bachelor of Science in agricultural education from the University of Wyoming in 1997. She is a member of the Society of Quality Assurance and the American Society of Animal Science. Looking ahead, she hopes to continue in the same path, expand the unit and become a project manager.
