Mark A. Weiss Joins the Ranks of Leading Professionals
Mark A. Weiss holds an MD from Georgetown University
CINCINNATI, OH, November 23, 2010 /Science and Research PR News/ -- Mark A. Weiss, Medical Director of the Pathology Laboratory for Tristate Urology Services, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in health care.
With 35 years of professional experience, Dr. Weiss has attained an expert knowledge of urologic pathology. In his current position he handles biopsies, urine cytologies and prostate-specific antigen-testing initiatives. Inspired by his father to enter the field, Dr. Weiss attributes his success to his passion for his profession. Previously, he served in the United States Navy as a lieutenant commander and taught at the University of Cincinnati for 14 years.
In 1967, Dr. Weiss graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Science. Four years later, he earned an MD from Georgetown University and completed an internship and a residency at the Massachusetts General Hospital in 1975. A fellow of the International Society of Urological Pathology, he is a member of the American Society of Clinical Pathology, United States and Canadian Academies of Pathology and the College of American Pathologists. He is supporter of the United Way and intends to continue experiencing professional growth within the medical industry.
