Ellen Apperson Brown Honored by Cambridge Who's Who

Ellen Apperson Brown has been with the Community Archives of Southwest Virginia, LLC for two years

    ROANOKE, VA, November 1, 2010 /Science and Research PR News/ -- Ellen Apperson Brown, Founder and Owner of the Community Archives of Southwest Virginia, LLC, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in business management.

Ms. Brown has 10 years of overall professional experience. As the founder and owner of Community Archives of Southwest Virginia, LLC, she is in charge of overseeing operations, working with a network of organizations, giving workshops at various museums to help people conduct better research, and public speaking at different organizations such as the "Y." She previously worked as a director in several non-profit organizations.

In 2003, Ms. Brown earned a Master of Arts in history from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. She earned a Master of Liberal Arts in 2001 from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a Master of Arts in teaching German in 1977 from the University of Virginia. Additionally, she holds a certification in teaching in German. A member of the American Historical Association, Ms. Brown received the Virginia Publishing Award in 2007 for "Jamestown to Blacksburg: the Path to the College of Natural Resources at Virginia Tech."
