Liz A. Bratisax Honored for Accomplishments in Analytical Food Testing

Liz A. Bratisax Has 26 Years of Food Service Experience with Bimbo Bakeries USA

GREENWICH, CT, January 12, 2010 /Science and Research PR News/ --Liz A. Bratisax, Manager of Analytical Services for Bimbo Bakeries USA, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of analytical food testing.

With 26 years of experience in the food service industry, Ms. Bratisax is considered an expert in analytical assessment and ingredient functionality. She has devoted most of her career to Bimbo Bakeries, a manufacturer of bread, English muffins, cakes, cookies, doughnuts, Danish pies and other baked goods. Assigned primarily to the research and development department, she is responsible for outsourcing new ingredients and finished products, writing ingredient specifications, and managing front end nutritional workups for the regulatory group. She also attends the annual miller's meeting and trains personnel on testing procedures.

Ms. Bratisax received her Bachelor of Science from C.W. Post Campus, Long Island University and her Associate Degree from Farmingdale State College. She is a member of the Institute of Food Technologists and the Association of Official Analytical Chemists (now AOAC International). In 2007, she was honored by Cambridge Who's Who as Professional of the Year in Analytical Food Testing. She attributes her success to her dedication, determination, and passion for food.

Bimbo Bakeries USA traces its history to Mexico where, in 1984, Grupo Bimbo started exporting its products to California and Texas. It has since acquired a diversity of bread and tortilla bakeries. Its most important acquisitions include Mrs. Baird's Bakeries, the leading independent baker in Texas, and the western division of George Weston Bakeries, which in turn brought with it the Oroweat brand, among others.
