Elaine F. Mostafa Joins the Ranks of Leading Professionals
Elaine F. Mostafa Shares Knowledge of Veterinary Medicine with Farmers in Bangladesh
BATON ROUGE, LA, July 15, 2009 /Science and Research PR News/ -- Elaine F. Mostafa of the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of veterinary medicine.
An aspiring expert in public health, Mrs. Mostafa is currently working on a DVM degree. She has worked with the USDA's national surveillance unit and review and has learned about how to analyze epidemiological data, test for diseases of foreign origin and of public health concern as well as how to devise courses of action and write policies based on scientific data and public concerns. Passionate about travel and the contributions that veterinary medicine can make on an international scale, Mrs. Mostafa has also worked with farmers in Bangladesh and advised them on the care and treatment of goat herds. She attributes her success to being open to other approaches to veterinary care and being willing to work hard in a variety of settings.
Enrolled at Louisiana State University's School of Veterinary Medicine, Mrs. Mostafa is pursuing a degree in veterinary medicine. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Florida Atlantic University. She is a member of the American Association of Small Ruminant Practitioners and names Heifer International and the World Wildlife Fund as her favorite charities. In five years, Mrs. Mostafa aspires to work in a large animal private practice, get a master's degree in public health, continue working with developing nations such as Bangladesh, and use her knowledge of veterinary medicine to help people around the world.
