Patrick Giannetto, Ph.D. Inducted into Cambridge Who's Who
Dr. Giannetto specializes in fire suppression and rescue, labor relations, and industrial-organizational psychology
SAN DIEGO, CA, June 11, 2009 /Science and Research PR News/ -- Patrick Giannetto, Ph.D., Fire Captain for the City of Del Mar and senior Personnel Research Psychologist for the County of San Diego, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of public services. Dr. Giannetto was a member of the Who's Who in American Universities and Colleges (1985) and was inducted into the Vestal (NY) High School Hall of Fame in 2006.
With 18 years of professional experience, Dr. Giannetto specializes in fire suppression and rescue, labor relations, and industrial-organizational psychology. His is currently a Fire Captain in San Diego County, a Rescue Specialist with Federal Emergency Management Agency and an adjunct faculty member at Alliant International University.
He served as a Senior Personnel Psychologist with the County of San Diego for 14 years. Dr. Giannetto has also been the President of the International Association of Firefighters, Local 4163, for the last 12 years. Aside from being an educator as well as in the field of fire and rescue, he is a strong supporter of animal rights. His Ph.D. dissertation is titled "The Effects of Aging and Self-Efficacy on Training Performance in an Applied Setting.'
Dr. Giannetto received his Ph.D. in 1995 and his Master's Degree in Industrial-Organizational Psychology in 1990 from the California School of Professional Psychology. In 1987 he received his Bachelor's Degree from SUNY Albany. He has over 20 publications and conference presentations in the field of personnel psychology.
